Our company seeks a highly motivated Machine Operator to support our Production Department. Under the general supervision of the Production Shift Supervisor, the Machine Operator will be responsible for ensuring the equipment is operated correctly by utilizing monitors and gauges on the equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Work as a team to achieve production, quality and safety goals.
- Operate production equipment.
- Read and follow all work instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the products being run
- Wrap, strap and correctly label all materials used and produced
- Complete required documentation (e.g., production reports, pre-shift inspections, etc.)
- Report production activities & place products into designated inventory bins in the ERP system
- Review products for quality and conformance standards and report issues to the supervisor
- Complete hand-off to the subsequent shift, with a focus on production concerns and crucial work instructions
- Operate forklift safely, if assigned and upon successful completion of training
- Operate overhead bridge crane safely, if assigned and upon successful completion of training any other tasks as required
Requirements:
- At least one year of manufacturing experience or equivalent
- Lift up to 50 lbs on a repetitive basis.
